Role of exfoliative cytology in diagnosis of malignancies of pharynx and larynx

Abstract

Exfoliative cytology of forty cases of carcinoma pharynx and larynx was studied and compared with histopathological examination report. Exfoliative cytology established the diagnosis in 82.5% of the cases; which shows that it can be used as an adjunct in the diagnosis of carcinoma of pharynx and larynx.
