Summary
Average blood loss in 40 cases undergoing tonsils and adenoid operation was estimated by swab weighing method at 70.9 cc. while in 40 cases who received styptochrome preoperatively showed a diminshed blood loss on an average of about 42.9 cc. thereby establishing its haemostatic values.
