Abstract

Eosinophilic granuloma is a localised painful lesion of either of skull bone, ribs or pelvis with a good prognosis. Calvarial swellings have an affinity to temporal bone. Recently eosinophilic granuloma has been grouped along wiht Letterer Siwe disease and Hand Schuller Christian disease under a common heading called Histiocytosis-X.

This paper is based on a case of eosinophilic granuloma of both temporal bones in an eleven year old girl. Clinical features, investigations, treatment and prognosis are discussed along with the survey of medical literature.
