Abstract

Isolated venous aneurysms are rare in children. They present as a swelling in the neck which becomes prominent on exertion. This is a case report of an eight year old boy who presented with a swelling in the neck on exertion. Proper investigations revealed the true diagnosis of an internal jugular vein aneurysm. Review of literature confirms the rare occurence as also the striking similarities between the cases reported.
