Abstract
Tumours of the parapharyngeal space are rarely encountered in routine practice. The commonest among them are salivary gland tumours followed by neurogenic tumours. The first case of parapharyngeal neurilemmoma was reported in 1933 by Figi. In a series of 73 lesions over 15 years experience Maran et al (1984) report only one case of Schwannoma of the parapharyngeal space. Because of the rarity of the tumour we report a case of Schwannoma of the parapharyngeal space, for clinical interest.
