Foreign body in the Wharton’s duct

Abstract

A case of unususl foreign body in the Wharton’s duct is reported. The patient presented with severe throat pain and odynophagia following ingestion of a paper pin which got lodged in the wharton’s duct. Surgical excision of submandibular gland and duct along with the removal of foreign body was done under general anaesthesia.
