Summary
78 cases of Carcinoma Oesophagus are analysed. Incidence of this disease in this region is quite significant. Presenting symptoms are discussed and the limitations of the role of different investigations are analysed. Thorocotomy is advocated more frequently whenever there is a doubt about the true extent of the disease. Further study is suggested to ascertain the real incidence of this disease in India. particularly in the lower third group.
