Study of eustachian tube function with particular reference to long term follow up in myringoplasty

Indian Journal of Otolaryngology Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Good Eustachian tube function correlates with good results after myringoplasty.

  2. 2.

Preoperative tubal function does not allow predictability to results of myringoplasty as the tubal function often is reversible.

  3. 3.

Myringoplasty should not be contraindicated on the basis of preoperative poor tubal function alone except in cases of totally blocked tube.
