Abstract
A new species of interstitial archiannelidTrilobodrilus indicus, collected in the intertidal sands of Waltair coast (Bay of Bengal), India, is described in this paper. The archiannelid markedly differs from the earlier known species of the genus and is distinguished from its closest relativeT. heideri Remane, by its smaller size, shape of prostomium, deeply notched pygidium, structure of epidermal glands and the position of gonads.
