Conclusion

Conclusion

Clinically, fine-needle biopsy of the pancreas is an important diagnostic tool. The development of EUS-guided biopsy is related to the development of radio-chemotherapy protocols for patients with operable or non-operable adenocarcinomas and to the development of specific chemotherapy regimens for endocrine tumors. The aspiration product provides precious pathological information for the clinician. The diagnosis is often possible, but is not necessarily perfectly rigorous. Diagnostic failures result from non-representative biopsies and cellular alterations.
