Résumé
La lésion d’athérosclérose présente une participation inflammatoire dont l’intensité pourrait être liée aux complications ischémiques. Des marqueurs plasmatiques ont été mesurés lors d’études épidémiologiques pour évaluer leur intérêt prédictif. Ces marqueurs, s’ils sont significativement associés à la survenue des évènements ischémiques coronariens, ne paraissent pas apporter une meilleure définition du risque par rapport aux facteurs de risque habituellement utilisés comme le cholestérol, le tabac, l’hypertension artérielle.
