Conclusion

La pancréatite aiguë est une préoccupation importante pour les endoscopistes qu’ils soient cathétériseurs ou échoendoscopistes, en raison de la gravité potentielle de cette complication. La fréquence et la sévérité de cette complication impose une information éclairée du patient. Certains facteurs de risque sont désormais bien établis et permettent de mettre en œuvre une prévention efficace. Néanmoins, l’absence de chimioprophylaxie efficace se fait toujours cruellement sentir, particulièrement dans certaines indications à risque élevé et un effort de recherche doit être effectué dans ce sens.
