Summary

Modern MRI allows «all in one» examination of pancreatic parenchyma, pancreatico-biliary ducts and periglandular vascular structures. It is necessary to use high-performing MR imagers with hypergradients and phased-array surface coils to reach this objective.

Considering spatial resolution MR Image quality is identical to CT one but it is largely better considering density resolution, particularly when using IV non specific contrast media.
