Analyse

Abstract

Dielectric loss measurements of polyethylene used in submarine telecommunication cables under conditions of high pressures (1 to 1500 bar) and high frequencies (0.3 to 15 MHz) are presented. The experimental results show a significant variation of the dielectric loss and the permittivity of polyethylene with the pressure.
