Abstract
Radar records were analysed and divided in categories of the available parcel convective energy (positive area on the tephigram). For each category thus obtained, statistics of microwave attenuation at 11.2 GHz were calculated indicating a good stratification of the probability of attenuation. It appears, therefore, that the thermodynamic mesoscale variables give some information on the fine structure of rain, and that the forecast of these variables makes the forecast of attenuation possible.
Analyse
Grâce à l’analyse des mesures par radar, on classe par énergie disponible positive sur le téphigramme les noyaux convectifs. Pour chaque catégorie ainsi obtenue on calcule la répartition statistique de l’atténuation à 11,2 GHz qui indique une bonne stratification de la probabilité d’affaiblissement. Il apparaît de plus que les variables thermodynamiques à échelle moyenne donnent quelques informations sur la structure fine de la pluie et que la prévision de ces variables rend possible la prévision d’affaiblissement.
