Résumé

Deux nouveaux instruments ont été développés dans le cadre des applications de la vidéo-capsule : 1) la «patency capsule» destinée au test de calibrage avant endoscopie diagnostique par vidéo capsule de façon à éviter une éventuelle rétention en cas de suspicion de sténose du grêle. Les avantages et inconvénients de cette nouvelle méthode sont discutés ; 2) un instrument destiné à l’examen de l’œsophage appelé “PILLCAMTM ESO” de manière non invasive et dans de bonnes conditions de confort et permettant d’observer les lésions œsophagiennes en délivrant des images de haute qualité.

Summary

Two new devices have been developed for videocapsule (VC) application : 1) a Patency capsule allowing a calibration test previously to a normal diagnostic VC in order to prevent the risk of retention in cases of suspected small bowel stenosis. The advantages and the drawbacks of this new procedure are discussed; 2) an esophageal device — called “PILLCAMTM ESO” designed to investigate esophageal lesions in safe and comfortable conditions, giving images of high quality.
