Résumé
Une étude préliminaire de 11 patients a été faite pendant des interventions chirurgicales sous état analgésique. Le méthoxyflurane avec oxygène fut employé à cet effet. C’est un agent analgésique sûr et excellent. Une somnolence a été notée, semblable à celle que ľon voit dans la période post-anesthésique après ľemploi conventionnel du méthoxyflurane. Le méthoxyflurane est comparé avec ďautres agents et différentes théories sont émises. Il semble que le méthoxyflurane, jusqu’à maintenant, soit ľagent de choix pour cette technique particulière, spécialement en gériatrie, dans les cas ďurgence et pour les patients dont ľétat général présente un mauvais risque chirurgical.
