Abstract

Homing pigeon releases from three different sites were performed to compare the effect of naloxone injection with that of exposure to an oscillating magnetic field. A similar modification of initial orientation was observed. This result raises the question whether alterations in initial orientation can be related to the activity of the endogenous opioid system.
