Summary
A review of the literature on prolapsed hypertrophied or redundant gastric mucosa is presented and four cases are reported.
It seems that prolapsed gastric mucosa is more frequent than hitherto assumed, and that it is capable of producing symptoms even in cases of small or medium prolapses. The symptoms are amenable to simple medical management. Therefore, more attention should be
