Summary
Senile osteoporosis is due to the increase of the basophile cells of the anterior pituitary, as a result of the controlling influence of the generative glands being in a state of involution.
As a therapeutic measure, roentgen irradiation of the pituitary gland and, in mild cases, vitamin E are recommended.
