Cet article expose les résultats suivants: 75 % des équipements d’abonné sont rassemblés dans les grands centres téléphoniques, qui méritent donc un intérêt particulier; la concentration des grands centres téléphoniques est semblable à celle des communes rangées par ordre de zones de peuplement industriel ou urbain croissant. Après identification de la distribution statistique des centres téléphoniques et examen de son évolution rétrospective, apparaît un réarrangement progressif du réseau et le fait que la croissance du service est plus absorbée par un accroissement de la capacité des centres que de leur nombre. Les caractéristiques de la distribution des grands centres dans les prochaines années sont calculées, puis en utilisant certaines hypothèses sur l’introduction de la commutation électronique, on estime quel pourrait en être le développement futur.

Abstract

This paper sets out the following results: 75 % of the subscriber equipments are gathered in the large telephone centres, therefore deserving special concern; as shown, the distribution law of large telephone centres is like that of townships arranged in the order of growing industrial or urban peopling areas; after identification of the statistical distribution of telephone centres and scruting of its retrospective evolution, a progressive rearrangement of the network was caused to appear and the grow of the service shown more absorbed by an increase in the capacity of centres than in their number. On the basis of those considerations, the characteristics of the distribution of large centres have been computed, within the from work laid down fcr the VII^th Plan; then, making certain interruptions about the development of electronic switching, the perc ntage of equipment of this type that might be installed by 1982, was calculated.
