Analyse
Abstract
This paper is intended to show how the concepts of martingale theory play an essential role when the non linear filtering is concerned. The notion of quadratic variation of a martingale, the Ito-formula, the Doob-Lévy characterization of Brownian motion are briefly recalled and applied to some classical situations in detection and estimation theory.
