Des formules analytiques simples sont obtenues par la méthode des transformations conformes pour permettre la détermination des paramètres du coupleur directif coplanaire (impédance caractéristique et permittivité effective relative pour les modes pair et impair). Les auteurs ont réalisé, par photogravure, deux coupleurs directifs coplanaires sur des substrats d’alumine. Les résultats obtenus valident les calculs théoriques.
Abstract
Conformai mapping techniques are used to give design information for coplanar directional couplers with finite or infinite substrate thickness. These calculations lead to analytic closed-form expressions for the coupler parameters (characteristic impedance and, even and odd-mode phase propagation velocities). Experimental results on two coplanar directional couplers are in good agreement with theoretical calculations.
