Abstract
The surgical treatment of advanced carcinomas of the head and neck often requires extensive resections, recessitating large flaps for neconstruction. In recent years, there has been wide appreciation of immediate repairs following the removal of large tumours, using the various myocutaneous flaps. The present paper discusses the use of pectoralis major myocutaneous flap in 16 of such patients.
