Carbogen inhalation to modify the impact of injurious factors on the inner ear

Abstract

Clinical practice of carbogen inhalation is discussed in various inner ear lesions such as hearing loss due to accidental noise exposure, and sudden deafness of idiopathic or vascular origin. It controls symptoms like vertigo, tinnitus as in Meniere’s syndrome. Observations on three illustrative cases are highlighted with reference to our previous experimental work.
