Aetiological study of 100 cases of hoarseness of voice

Abstract

Hoarseness of voice is a common symptom in the ENT practice. In this study 100 cases of hoarseness have been investigated in busy Otolaryngology clinic and diagnosed. Miscrolaryngoscopy was done in 80% of the cases. Significant out come of this study is that inspite of the modem medicines and treatment tuberculous laryngitis is still common in India, although chronic laryngitis is the most common cause.
