Abstract

Secretory otitis media is a common condition and deafness is liable to be missed in children by their parents. The lack of response from the child may be thought to be due to inattentiveness. Likewise it is liable to be missed during a clinical examination unless specially looked for. An attempt has been made to study the condition particularly with regards to insertion of grommets.
