Abstract
The true nature of many diseases can be determined only by a histological examination of the tissues. Quite often sufficient material can be removed by a needle biopsy for the pathologist to give an opinion. A Needle biopsy has now become accepted as a routine procedure. Split needle biopsy done in 42 cases of cervical lymph node metastasis is described.
