Atresia of the posterior nares

Abstract

Five cases of atresia of the posterior nares, seen during the period 1961–73 at Calcutta, are reported. Observations are made on various aspects of the disease including the age, sex incidence, side and type of lesion, clinical presentation of the cases, method of diagnosis and treatment carried out. The special danger of bilateral atresia is discussed.
