Summary
Epistomina populations of the Valendis from the Dinklage field (Niedersachsen) with high right:left coiling ratio are studied. Right coiled specimens are more frequent megalospheric than left coiled ones. The coiling ratio is useful for stratigraphical researches within small geographical areas as shown by the example ofEpistomina anterior, E. caracolla andE. ornata. By the same reactions upon different ecological conditions of theEpistomina species here studied it is to suppose that they are also physiologically congeneric.
