Summary

The Asteroidal fauna of the Santonian rocks of Abu Roâsch in Egypt which have been described byP. De Loriol (1909) is now enriched by two new species—Forbesiaster gaensis andRecurvaster lorioli. The Egyptian Santonian deposits and their facial relationships are discussed. The Santonian, as represented by parts of the terrestrial Nubian Sandstone, borders fluviomarine equivalents in Upper Egypt (Abb. 2).
