Summary
Heterostyly inHedyotis nigricans (Lam,) Fosb., a species of the family Rubiaceae is described with measurements of style, anther height, pollen grain diameters and stigmatic papillae. Results of pollination experiments in various crosses are reported. Thrum is more completely self-incompatible than Pin and the cross Pin X Thrum is more fertile than the reciprocal.
