Summary

Heterogeneity of recombination tests may result in heterogeneity in the distribution of mutants over a chromosome map. Differential effects of various mutagens on the distribution pattern cannot be regarded as proven unless the localization tests are homogeneous. Differential production of visible mutants cannot be demonstrated by comparing observations made by different workers.
