Abstract

Peronospora dianthicola was recorded for the first time in Israel on carnation, in February 2004. Eradication measures were taken and the production site was declared free of the disease by the end of the growing season. A survey showed that no other carnation nurseries were affected by downy mildew. A downy mildew on gypsophila, identified in 2004 and 2005, is compared here with older findings and withP. gypsophilae descriptions in the literature.
