La renaissance de l'hystéroscopie

Resume

L'hystéroscopie, méthode ancienne dans sa conception (DESORMEAUX, 1853) fut tour à tour abandonnée et reprise à la faveur d'améliorations techniques successives. Elle subit actuellement une véritable renaissance grâce aux progrès récents de l'appareillage. La réalisation en est devenue simple et les renseignements qu'elle apporte sont de précieux compléments des deux autres investigations endoutérines: l'hystérographie et le curetage biopsique. En somme, les syndromes gynécologiques nécessitant une exploration endo-utérine sont du ressort de l'hystéroscopie pour affiner le diagnostic radiologique et diriger les prélèvements histologiques.

Summary

Hysteroscopy, old in its conception (DESORMEAUX, 1853) has been forgotten and revived many times. Presently it undergoes a real revival due to the progress of the instrument. The technic of hysteroscopy has become very simple and the knowledge it brings is precious as a complement of the other two endo-uterin investigations: hysterography and curetting biopsy. So the gynecological syndromes needing an endo-uterin exploration call on the hysteroscopy to refine the radiological diagnostic and to guide a biopsy.
