Intérêt de la biopsie transbronchique perfibroscopique dans le diagnostic des lésions pulmonaires diffuses et localisées

Advantage of the transbronchial perfibroscopic biopsy for the diagnosis of diffuse and localized pulmonary lesions

  • Published:
Acta Endoscopica

Conclusion

The transbronchial pulmonary biopsy performed with a forceps through the fiberscope or with the forceps of Hollinger, should be tried on most of the patients with localized and diffuse pulmonary lesions.

The limited results that we bring here show more our lack of experience in this field than the insufficiency of the method, the yield of which, established from around 600 biopsies extracted from the literature, is of around 70%.

Because of its simplicity ant its innocuity, it should be proposed before the surgical biopsy, a biopsy that it often allows to avoid.
