Laparoscopy today, even when it needs sterilized material, is not a procedure that must be carried out under aseptic conditions in an operating room. And, in hands familiarized with the technique and additional facilities, it's an exploration with minimal risks.

Using its capacity, one can achieve a high diagnostic effectivity, not only in the specific gastroenterological or oncological fields, but also in the many coincidential areas of pathology between surgery and internal medicine.

Conclusions

Les progrès successifs des instruments d'exploration, à la fois optiques et photographiques, permettent au laparoscopiste une réelle vue panoramique de la pathologie intra-abdominale. La possibilité de faire des biopsies avec électrocoagulation sous contrôle direct complète l'investigation endoscopique d'une façon qu'aucune autre méthode ne peut offrir. Ainsi, nous avons la possibilité d'obtenir une documentation objective des découvertes, macro et microscopiques.

Aujourd'hui, même si elle nécessite un matériel stérile, la laparoscopie n'est pas une exploration qui doit être pratiquée dans les conditions aseptiques d'une salle d'opération. Et, dans des mains habituées à la technique et aux facilités additionnelles, c'est une exploration aux risques minimes.

Grâce à ce moyen, on peut obtenir une efficacité diagnostic élevée, non seulement dans le domaine spécifique gastroentérologique ou oncologique, mais également dans les nombreuses zones de la pathologie où la chirurgie et la médecine interne coïncident.
