Conclusion

— La maladie ulcéreuse duodénale est bien multifactorielle (infestation par Helicobacter pylori, hyperacidité, déficit de la production des facteurs de cytoprotection).

Des tests simples pourraient en permettre l’approche diagnostique (Breath test, UAO).

— L’épidémiologie de la maladie ulcéreuse n’est pas strictement superposable à celle d’Helicobacter pylori.

— L’approche du meilleur schéma d’éradication d’Helicobacter pylori semble se préciser: trithérapie, une semaine?

— L’oméprazole affirme sa supériorité dans toutes les situations (complications, prévention des récidives); mais il existe d’autres IPP candidats.
