Summary
A 46-year-old man was admitted to hospital with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Endoscopy showed an ulcerated submucosal mass in the second portion of the duodenum. Histological examination of biopsies taken from the ulcer and its margin established the diagnosis of metastasis from malignant mesothelioma. Further studies were consistent with diagnosis.
