Ano-rectal malignant non hodgkinian lymphoma : about 7 cases

  • Published:
Acta Endoscopica

Summary

Ano-rectal localisations of malignant non Hodgkinian lymphoma (MNHL) are rare, representing from 0,1 % to 1,3 % of all cancers of the rectum [1,2,3]. We report seven cases of MNHL diagnosed between November 1988 and July 1990.

Our series is interesting in that on the one hand there is a MNHL in a patient not infected with HIV et on the other hand a MNHL which does not concern the ano-rectal mucosa.

This series confirms certain assessments reported in previous publications [4,5,6,7,8] but also underlines certain characteristics which do not seem to have been previously reported.
