L’extraction par voie endoscopique d’une épingle de sûreté ouverte dans le tiers infécrieur de l’oesophage d’un nourrisson de six mois est l’occasion de rappeler les précautions qui doivent encadrer une telle intervention: endoscopiste rompu à la pratique pédiatrique, intervenant en milieu chirurgical après anesthésie et intubation de l’enfant, et conscient des limites de sa technique.

Summary

The endoscopic extraction of an open safety pin in the lower third of the oesophagus of a 6 month old infant gives us the opportunity of recalling the precautions which must surround such an operation: endoscopist trained in pediatrics, working in a operating theatre after anesthesia and intubation of the child and conscious of the limits of his technique.
