Summary

Although rare, gas embolism remains a fearsome complication in 1in- 7,500 to 1- in- 63,000 cases of laparoscopy. The symptoms range from a simple cough accompanied by an exhalation pause in a patient, breathing spontaneously, if air injection is slow, to brutal cardiac arrest in the case of a massive embolism.

Rlassunto
