Résumé

L’efficacité de la sclérothérapie élective de varices œsophagiennes (V.O.) — méthode thérapeutique ancienne, introduite en 1939 [8] — est actuellement reconnue [7, 11, 13, 20, 25, 27].

Nous envisagerons successivement:

  • L’oblitération des varices œsophagiennes par sclérothérapie et la récidive hémorragique avant oblitération.

  • Les modifications morphologiques de l’œsophage sclérosé.

  • Les complications endoscopiques de l’œsophage sclérosé.

  • Le suivi endoscopique après la première oblitération des varices par scléroathérapie.

Summary

The efficiency of elective sclerotherapy of esophageal varices (E.V.) — an old therapeutic method introduced in 1939 [8] — is now recognized [7, 11, 13, 20, 25, 27].

We will look at in turn:

  • The obliteration of esophageal varices by sclerotherapy and recurrence of bleeding before obliteration.

  • Morphological modifications of the sclerosed esophagus.

  • Endoscopic complications of the sclerosed esophagus.

  • And the endoscopic follow-up after the first obliteration of varices by sclerotherapy.

Resumen

En la actualidad se reconoce la gran eficacia de la escleroterapia electiva de las varices esofágicas (V.O.), mátodo terapeutico ya antiguo, introducido en 1939.

Valoraremos sucesivamente, en éste trabajo:

  • La obliteración de las varices esofágicas por escleroterapia y la recidiva hemorrágica antes de la misma.

  • Las modificaciones morfológicas del esófago esclerosado.

  • Las complicaciones endoscópicas del esófago esclerosado.

  • El seguimiento endoscópico después de la primera obliteración de varices por escleroterapia.
