Asymptomatic HIV revealed by gastric Kaposi’sarcoma: an exceptional situation

Résumé

Chez près de la moitié des malades souffrant du sarcome de Kaposi cutané, l’atteinte du tractus digestif est retrouvée [1]. Cette atteinte digestive est souvent asymptomatique, rarement inaugurale et sa mise en évidence peut être fortuite lors d’une endoscopie.

Nous rapportons un cas de sarcome de Kaposi gastrique de découverte fortuite chez un sujet VIH asymptomatique.

Summary

The involvement of the digestive tract is found in about half of the patients with cutaneous Kaposi’s sarcoma [1]. This digestive involvement is often asymptomatic, rarely inaugural and it is often fortuitously discovered during endoscopy.

We report the case of a gastric Kaposi’s sarcoma fortuitously discovered in a patient with asymptomatic HIV.
