Summary
Necrotizing fasciitis is an uncommon, rapidly progressive, soft tissue infection with an often fatal delay in appropriate treatment. No part of of the body is exempt from this infection. Three cases of necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum are described illustrating the typical problems associated with diagnosis and management of this disease.
