The use of direct current coagulation in surgery

Summary

The evolution of the studies leading to the development of the direct current coagulator has been outlined. The direct current coagulator has been described and its effects in producing hemostasis in experimental animals, normal patients during operation and in patients with abnormal bleeding states is described.
