Abstract
Application of zinc either alone or with Mn improved the production of cane and sucrose percent in juice and maximum cane yield was recorded (81.96 MT ha-1) under Zn + Mn @ 40.0 kg ha−1 each treatment as compared to control (68.18 MT/ha−1). The treatments consisting 30 and 40 Kg Zn ha−1 in combination with same level of Mn gave at par results. Significantly improvement was also observed in the juice quality at 10th and 12th month of crop age. The Zn and Mn contents were also increased in index tissue plants with the application of zinc and manganese either alone or in combination.
