Toxic shock syndrome in a penicillin sensitive patient

Summary

While toxic shock syndrome (T.S.S.) has received considerable attention in the United States since its original description in 1978, it is not well documented as occurring in Ireland. The typical clinical features are described in this case whose management was complicated by penicillin hypersensitivity.
