H.L.A. typing in a family with sarcoidosis and tuberculosis

Summary

A family with sixteen children, two of whom developed tuberculosis and two sarcoidosis, is described. HLA typing showed that the two patients with sarcoidosis had identical HLA profiles and that the two patients with tuberculosis also had identical profiles, which were different from those with sarcoidosis.
