Keratotic (Norwegian) scabies

Summary

THREE patients with Norwegian or keratotic scabies are reported. One patient suffered from Down’s Syndrome, another abused alcohol and had poor personal hygiene, while the third patient was being treated for breast carcinoma with radiotherapy. This rare form of scabies is reviewed with particular reference to its occurrence in immunosuppressed or otherwise susceptible hosts.
